Removal of HOMEPAGE from the list of dependency-style variables
===============================================================

Council agreed that it should be removed from PMS retroactively given
it was never used in ::gentoo and is not supported by Portage.

It was felt that HOMEPAGE is a user-facing variable and allowing
USE-flag conditionals inside didn't make much sense.

Motion: Drop HOMEPAGE from list of dependency-style variables retroactively,
        as it was never used in ::gentoo, and unsupported by the main PM.

Open bugs with council involvement
==================================
* Bug 936211 "[Tracker] Gentoo Foundation dissolution":

  sam noted that there was a concerning report from a donor in #gentoo-trustees
  that their subscription was being billed as $0 via PayPal to SPI. robbat2
  investigated and contacted SPI.

  sam also noted that we still have a non-trivial number of recurring
  donations coming through on the Gentoo Foundation PayPal.

  robbat2 shared that dabbott sent him the updated Capital One debit card (because
  Capital One changed stuff on their side) and that dabbott would like to be
  removed from any remaining Foundation accounts.

* Bug 961301 "Requests for metadata/AUTHORS":
  No pending requests.

* Bug 961811 "Consider procuring Token2 PIN+ security keys for
  developers":

  arthurzam reported being happy with his trial token and that it is
  a rugged device.

  robbat2 remarked that he is having trouble getting through to the Token2
  sales team. The plan is to have a batch shipment to the US where a developer
  will redistribute inside the US to minimise fees.

* Bug 962281 "Clean up consultants list":

  Plan is to discuss on the list. sam suggested negril bring it up as
  the reporter of the bug.

* Bug 965878 "[TRACKER] Codeberg migration":

  sam summarised it as going well. Codeberg asked us to disable forks
  for gentoo.git because there were already 27 and each of them were taking
  up considerable space on the Codeberg side. We agreed in favour of
  using AGit, provided that the 'Fork' button be replaced with a link to
  some guide for this, which Codeberg agreed with.

* Bug 965900 "GLEP 63: update key recommendations":

  Waiting on Token2 because we don't want to encourage developers to use
  RSA w/ 4096 bits on a Nitrokey.

Open floor
==========

mgorny raised the general issue of low-quality LLM content ("slop") in
packages, which he also raised on the distributions mailing list [3].

There was discussion about ways of handling these, allowing users to
avoid such packages if desired. There was also a discussion on the
gentoo-dev ML [4].

arthurzam mentioned the age restriction law being proposed in California
and asked if we know whether Gentoo is affected. We agreed to wait-and-see
for now as other distributions will be affected too.
